Frequently Asked Questions

Many clients choose to work with me using private pay, which allows us to focus fully on your care without the restrictions that insurance companies sometimes place on therapy. This can provide greater flexibility in how we approach your goals and the pace of our work together.
I am currently in-network with Aetna, which means that if you have an Aetna plan, your sessions may be covered according to your specific benefits.
For clients with other insurance plans, I am considered an out-of-network provider. Many insurance plans offer partial reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services. If this applies to your plan, I can provide you with a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
Because every plan is different, it can be helpful to contact your insurance provider to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits, including reimbursement rates and deductibles.
Please note that I am not a provider for Horizon NJ Health plans.
If you have questions about how this works, I’m happy to talk through it during a consultation.

Prior to scheduling an initial assessment, I offer a free 20-minute phone or video consultation to discuss your needs and how I can help. During this time, you are free to ask questions about the therapy process and we can decide if we are a good fit to work together.
